Absolute Best 90 Day Challenge Day 11




This easy spinal stretch was part of our 30 day challenge and is great for releasing tension in the back. Hold each side for the recommended 20 seconds and then continue on with your activities. You can pause anytime of the day and do this to get instant relief from chronic back aches.  

It is Day 11 of our 90 day challenge and we want to congratulate you for staying the course.  The only way to make it to the finish line is one day at a time.  Remember, think of this challenge in 30 day chunks; piece 3 of them together and you will make it to the end.  Lois Thornburg is running her 30 day challenge simultaneously with ours.  Go check her "Give Me 5" Challenge.  Her program uses our meal plan and exercise regimen to help you lose 5 pounds in 30 days.  That would mean 15 pounds of weight loss in 90 days! 

What is your goal?  Are you trying to lose a few extra pounds, or are you obese and facing serious health issues?  Whichever your goal, you need to address it comprehensively and consistently in order to create lasting results.

So far, we've shared the idea of meal planning and daily exercising. The two go like hand in glove.  Combining these two aspects of your wellness program speeds up the rate of your metabolism and increases you muscle mass.  The result is, a healthier, leaner body.  The healthier you feel, the more you will be inspired to maintain that state of being. 

And speaking of a "state" of being, I highly recommend meditation as part of your program. That's why we at Absolute Best are committed to your wellness by optimizing the health of you body, mind and spirit, all in one convenient location.

It is important to be mindful, give yourself time to reflect, sit and be still.  If you sit for five minutes in the morning, before you begin your regular routine, that alone will be sufficient to begin a meditation program.  Stop and contemplate your intentions for the day and create the canvas of endless possibilities for yourself.  When you go into that introspective mindset, all sense of time melts away.  

The same principles apply here as with our healthy eating and exercising strategies; begin with small manageable chunks and slowly increase the intensity and duration of the program.  Begin with those five minutes, then augment them to 10, 15 and so on.  Pretty soon, you will find that you can sit for 20 to 30 minutes in quiet contemplation.

Whenever you need to make lasting changes in your behavior, you need to surround yourself with likeminded people.  People who share the same likes, struggles and challenges as you will be supportive and understanding.
